Day 5 - A Week In Nana's Closet

Well, this is going to be short and sweet.  IT WAS 17 DEGREES IN MCKINNEY TEXAS TODAY.  YIKESSSSSSSSS!!!

We don't usually see cold like that....and it was windy, so it felt even colder.  So what did I wear today.. sweatpants, a long sleeved silkie t-shirt and a plaid shirt.  Oh!  And fuzzy furry wool lined house moccasins.  I thanked God all day for a warm house and a fire place.

I spent the day doing Saturday, vacuuming, know that stuff.  Ken was home, so we practiced some of the music that we would be singing later that evening at a restaurant downtown.  And then....I watched the snow come down.  not much, but it was pretty.

I am so blessed.  I have a husband who loves me dearly.  I have a wonderful family all of whom love our God. I have a warm house and a fire if needed.  I have way too much food in my pantry.  It is so easy to think of ourselves as average people who are not rich. But the bottom line is, if we have access to a computer to read e-mail, we're richer than most of the world!  Let's not let our "stuff" get in the way of our faith and compassion.  Remember that what we have is a gift from him, and that he intends for us to use it to bless others and honor him.

Blessings to all of you!
